As part of the OCSB Global Solutions initiative, St. Patrick's Grade 12 Economics students have been delving into a rich task where they are honing their research, and collaboration skills. In working through 'The Global Solutions Wicked Problem' task the students are able to see their world in a authentic way.

"The Global Solutions Wicked Problem task focused on Financial Inclusion was a fascinating project for my Grade 12 Economics class to undertake. This program encouraged research, independent thought, "non-Googleable" questions, collaboration and rich learning for students of all abilities. Some pupils found it challenging to work on a topic in which there are only more questions and few solid answers; it was an opportunity for them to push the boundaries of comfort and to be more creative." (Stephanie Pearson, Department Head - Contemporary Studies)
