Parent Teacher Interviews:

All students were given a "Parent Interview Schedule" form to take home with them Thursday, March 10th afternoon.  Please fill in the names of the teachers you would like to see and a suggested time.  We ask that your child then bring the form back to school and confirm the appointment times with each of his/her teachers.  Teachers will meet in the gym, Wednesday, March 23rd between 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.  Students will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m.

Registration for September 2016 Enrollment

It’s time to start thinking about enrolling your child, at St. Patrick’s High School, for the 2016 – 2017 school year.  Registration dates are set for Monday, April 18, 2016; Monday, May 16, 2016 and Monday, June 6, 2016.  Call Mrs. Vitalis-Burke at 613-733-0501, to book your appointment today.

Advocating for Your Child with Special Needs

Would you like to learn how to advocate more effectively for your child with special needs?  Louise McGoey, former chair of the Ottawa Catholic SEAC (Special Education Advisory Committee), will provide participants with strategies for effective advocacy.  Learn about the importance of knowing what your goals are for your child, how to communicate effectively with school and board staff and how to prepare for productive meetings.  Presented by SEAC and CSPA.

The session will take place on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, from 7:00 - 8:30 PM here at St. Patrick’s High School, 252 Alta Vista Drive 

 

Also, the Understanding EQAO Assessments event that was rescheduled from March 1st, due to inclement weather will take place on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic High School at 3333 Greenbank Road in Barrhaven.  Every year, Ontario students in Grades 3, 6, 9 and 10 write province-wide tests.  These assessments provide an objective indication of how well students are developing the reading, writing and math skills defined in the Ontario Curriculum. 

 

This presentation delivered by Mike Young, a principal from EQAO’s School Support and Outreach team, will give parents an opportunity to gain an understanding of the EQAO assessments.
